How to use EasyCSV to enable your reps or lead gen workers to upload CSV data for Leads, Accounts, Opportunities, and Custom Objects into Salesforce.

How to connect Salesforce to EasyCSV

  1. Log into your Salesforce account that you want import data to flow into.
  2. Log into EasyCSV
  3. Click here to connect Salesforce to EasyCSV
  4. Create a new sheet import page on EasyCSV.io using a CSV spreadsheet file or Google Sheet.
  5. After the page is created, click the "Sheet Details" link at the top of the page.
  6. Under the section, "Where to send import data?" click the checkbox for "Post imports to Salesforce, Pipedrive, or another integration".
  7. Select "Salesforce" from the "Choose Integration" dropdown.
  8. Click the "Save" button.
  9. Follow the directions below to map spreadsheet columns to the right fields in Salesforce.

How do I enable API access in Salesforce?

  1. Log into your Salesforce account that you want import data to flow into.
  2. Go to your Salesforce Setup area. The URL should look something like https://naXXX.lightning.force.com/lightning/setup/SetupOneHome/home
  3. In the left nav, in the section titled "Administration", click on "Users" to expand, then click on "Profiles"
  4. Locate the Profile Name for the type of user role that will be connecting the account to EasyCSV and click the "Edit" link in the first, action column.
  5. Scroll down to the area with the title "Administrative Permissions" and click the checkbox for "API Enabled" so it is checked.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click save.
  7. If you have alreay connected your Salesforce account to EasyCSV you are all done! You can go back to EasyCSV and finish setting up your import page. If you have not then continue with the steps below.

How do I map spreadsheet column names to Salesforce fields?

Use the EasyCSV feature: "Field Mappings". You will find it at the top of your sheet import page if you are logged into EasyCSV and are the admin.

For each Salesforce field you want populated create a new field mapping.

Select the column value you want pushed into a specific Salesforce field for the Salesforce object being created (Lead, Opportunity, or Account).

Tip: If a Salesforce field is a combination of multiple CSV spreadsheet column values, or is only part of a value, you can set up Virtual Fields to combine or extract values from your CSV files.

How can I send data to a Salesforce Flow in bulk from a CSV or XLSX?

How to setup bulk importing to Salesforce Flows

  1. Log into EasyCSV
  2. Create a new sheet import page on EasyCSV.io using a CSV example file of the file you want to import into the Salesforce Flow.
  3. After the page is created, click the "Import Flow" link at the top of the page.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the import Flow to see the Salesforce options.
  5. Confirm the Salesforce account chosen is correct.
  6. For the action, click edit, and choose "Flow" as the destination action to take when importing.
  7. Choose the Flow you want to send data into.
  8. Map your spreadsheet fields and virtual fields to your Salesforce Flow input fields.
  9. Now you are ready to import by selecting the files on your import page, emailing them to your EasyCSV custom email address, or setting up a scheduled fetcher to grab new files when you want.
  10. Gotcha: Go to the Flow > Edit Acces > and uncheck "Override default behavior and restrict access to enabled profiles or permission sets."
  11. Gotcha: If you add new fields to the Flow you want EasyCSV to submit, add the fields in Salesforce AND ACTIVATE the latest version of your flow. Then go into Field Mappings.
